So it is very destructive on a transmission when you hold down the break and hit the gas at the same time??

Yup
It works the converter really hard and can overheat and burn the tranny fluidfluid if you hold it too long.
thatw why the fluid in the pics is black. Burnt tranny fluid stinks bad.

very
when i first received the WO, i got into the truck in the parking lot... started it up, put it in drive... lugged really hard and jerked forward... stalled...
re-started, everything okay, but slipping terribly on the way in...
later... got tranny out, tried to rotate converter - it was locked up - burned all to hell
horrible

Your probably better off just replacing it. What's warranty time on the o'haul under 6 hrs?
I've been boned many a time by Chry warranty times my self. I feel for ya.
Nuthin chaps my *** worse the when they warranty abuse like that.
I wish I still has the pics, I'd share some melted overdrive pics from 44RE trannys (Nasty)
Is the 545RFE just a beefed up 45RFE? I used to work on those in the Jeeps and Dakotas.
