And what exactly were the types of improvement you saw from doing this?

Good write-up. We should have this added to the DIY section. Nice work.

I can tell when i stop that the truck does not "dip" to the front and it just feels like it is actually stopping more in the middle of the truck.

Thanks for the write-up. When I get my 35's on, I'm going to do this as well since I'll have more to stop...hehehe.

Been there done that , next put 1 ton brake calipers up front then you get even better stopping... trick is to stay with the same year as what you drive.. i have a 1 ton wheel cylinders from a chevy just a tad bigger then what is called for on a dodge (im talking at 1mm)

I have 4 wheel ABS on my 2001 2wd. I can't do this one, can I? I think the 4 wheel ABS is disc only.

padodgeram- Question about the 1ton calipers for the front discs, I have a 1997, I was able to run 15x10in rims with no rubbing, close but no rub. Do you know if the 1ton calipers bigger or are they still going to fit?

Since the stock Dodge 'starwheel' adjuster does not work very well,
consider replacing those too.

There are aftermarket starwheel thread rods with different counts of
threads per inch.
