hub conversion issue
Hi guys, just a few points on the ems conversion kit:
it's easy to put in. i was planning on taking pics and doing a step-by-step, that didn't work out, and it's not really necessary. if you can put together trailer bearings and install u-joints, you can do this. recommended on that note.
however, now that the CAD is no longer there (put in the one-piece axle shaft), when in 4wd, the RWAL, which is disabled when the CAD is locked, no longer knows you're in 4wd because the switch located in the CAD is....not there. So, I was considering removing the vaccuum switch located on the transfer case (which is no longer used for anything of course) and attempting to replace it with an electrical switch out of a durango/dakota, which use a very similar if not same transfer case, and tying that into the wires for the old CAD switch to maintain RWAL lockout, and also to have the little light on the dash function. basically, does anyone know if 1. the switch is correct in the NO/NC sense, and 2. if it fits in the hole, threadwise?
