I had the remote fall in the lake on one of my old trucks. It didn't work either and I thought it was shot, I put a new battery in anyways and it fixed it.
I'd give it a shot, batteries are cheap enough.

Hi guys ! Some friend of mine very familiar with remote controls managed to fix mine ! It worked ! The alarm was put off and the van started ! Great thanks for all your help too !
