back to untouchable's problem -

Actually what i wanna know is, would the steering wheel from an 01 Ram fit in a 95 or 97?

is he trying to replace the airbag for functionality, or just cosmetics ?
or is he just trying to replace the steering wheel only for some reason.
i hate trying to read people's mind...

I totally agree, I cant stand ABS, and Seatbelts, tempered glass, or Tubeless tires, or disc brakes, or crumple zones. lol

LOL, yea, just strap me to the grille and let's go. Oh wait, I don't like belt's either, I'll just hold on to it.

What problem? I've had airbags go off for me before. Although they didnt need to go off in the situation I was in, but I was glad they did. My mom slid down our ice covered driveway sideways and landed in our colvert. Had we not partly landed back on the driveway, I sure as hell would have expected the 4Runner to flip onto the driver's side. That was why I was glad that the airbags did go off.

To be honest, the main reason is cosmetic... The airbags on the old steering wheel work fine. I'd prefer to stick with an OEM steering wheel ( to keep the airbag functional... hopefully) and i think the newer ones look a whole lot better then the old ones.

I just wanted to ask if anyone has done this before, or whether or not it would be possible (just a quick replacement or any custom work needed?).

It should work. But dont expect the horn to be as in easy reach as it used to be. I literaly have to punch the Ram square in the face to get the horn to honk. I am considering a remote horn button.

LOL I know exactly what you mean... usually steering wheels that are designed like that have a sweet spot to get the horn to work. My mustang's the same, even if i slam my fist into the center i get nothing.... but just a little pressure at about 11 o'clock does the trick!
