body lift? and whats wrong with jcwhitney?
alright so i ordered 5" of lift today off of Jcwhitney.com. a 3" body lift and then 2" coil spacer/2" block. my dad talked to three proffesional mechanics not knowing i already ordered the lift and they said two things. body lifts arent good becuase they put pressure on things in the engine and other stuff. they also said they wouldn't buy anything from Jcwhitney. why is that?they are selling products manufacturedby tuff-country. i thought they were just a dealer.and whats the downside on body lifts?
I've purchased tons of stuff from JCW when rebuilding a VW bug. I didn't have any problems with their parts or anything... but that was 10 years ago. I don't have any experience with them for truck parts.

I have a body lift for 4 years no problems ether. I have bought lots of stuff from jcw from parts for my truck to my dragstrip TA. I never had anyproblems with them. So dont worry everything is all good!
alright thank you. another question is with lift blocks. people hate them but ive never heard of a story of them coming out. i know lots of people that run them and nothing goes wrong. i dont do like rock crawling or any type of hardcore offroading besides mudding so i dont think blocks will be a problem. what do yall think?

ok ignore the block thing. my dad said they also had told him that going over 3" of suspension lift is too much for the truck. the mechanics said that it puts too much stress on stuff. this was said also by Hudson Brothers off-road store. i dont know why they are saying this but my dads believing them becuase they are proffesionals or whatever. its pissin me off
The alumium blocks have a tendency to crack under extrem stresses. If you use steal blocks they can handle it. The other thing to blocks is your truck will be more accatble to wheel hop. It can make the rear hop and you lose traction when this happens. It may be extrem with older springs.
that's 3 inches of suspension lift. Since your only going 2 inches for your suspension, you'll be fine with all the stock stuff. The body lift doesn't affect your suspension at all
