So, I've been slowly fixing all of the things that were wrong with my $800, 1995 1500. The next thing to repair is an unsightly front bumper. The previous owner must have hit something (along with years of neglect). I've got the steel bumper with the top cover and the bottom cover and a lower air dam attached to that. The ends of the bumper sag downaway from the fendersand the covers are disconnected and loose. The actual steel part of the bumper is seriously flaking with rust. I want to replace the whole stinking mess. I can obviously buy the new parts very inexpensively from a place called CertiFit and paint them black to match the truck. But what I want to know is.... On some newer models there looks to be a solid one piece plastic cover with foglight holes, is that compatible with my truck as far as just bolting on for a cleaner look. And if so what years does that come from. I like that look much better. I know someone on this site upgraded to that but I don't remember who.

 

I'm not sure about the specific ones you are asking about, but you might want to take a look at www.LMCTruck.com at the bumpers and trim pieces they have. I have been very tempted to get the one with the dual set of lights already in the bumper. I've never seen that type before and I think they look good.

 

I think your looking at the Sport edition. comes with aplastic front bumper idk if theres a way to make the non sport hold a sport bumper. look at my gallery i have the sport. is that what you were talking about?

 

That's exactly what I'm talkin about. I know someone here did the swap. Anyways how hard was it do fix your doors. I saw the pics in your gallery and mine need the same. They're rusted through on the passenger side and just on the surface of the driver side.

 

you can put a sport bumper on your truck. You just need the mounting brackets off the sport as well..You will also need the sport grille as it is slightly different. You can also change to the qaud lights, or just stay with your stock ones. i believe they changed the sports in 99.
