He Guy's,
When I stept on the gas, I loose Dash A/C, and it goes to defrost as long as I'm accelerating, when I let up, it comes back to dash air. Anybody got a clue?
Thanks in Advance

Welcome to Dodge Forum!

use "search"
there is a TSB on installing a Check valve in the vacuum supply line going to the A/C control head unit.

Mine does the same thing and the mechanic at my father's car lot said there are some vaccuum hoses under the battery that dryrot and go bad. He said this is where the one that causes the a/c to go from the dash vents to the defrost vents when you accelarate is there.

either its the vacuum lines or the two small check valves on the passenger side of the motor in your vacuum lines you can change out to see if that does it...it usually doesd!!!!

Dont forget the obvious, you mayactually be loosing vacuum.

I fixed mine using the TSB mentioned, but I think the actual cause was the fact that my plenum is leaking so badly.

Actually, mine was doing the same thing, the A/C would die going up a hill or when I really punched it.....my neighbor told me it was normal and that it had to do that to in order to keep enough power being fed to the engine, so it would sacrafice the a/c.Idk if that helps ur problem, but this was happeningon my other truck
