Ok thanks. I thought that I was totally off in my understanding of a diff instead of knowing just enough to get into trouble. I like to research a problem so I look like I know what I'm talking about with the techs. Usually I learn enough to do it myself or find a friend willing to assistfor a case ofbeer and pizza. Now if I could only get ahold of my dad...

Can I run an elocker in the front with a stock rear? The mechanics are telling my father that an elocker in just the front will damage the rear. That I need one on each end. This sounds like a load of horsecrap to me. Besides, they don't make one for the rear yet. There has to be someone here running a Selectable locker on the front. Search feature isn't working, keeps timing out before it finishes.

Thats a total lie...you don't need one in the rear too. It sounds to me they're just trying to get you to spend more money. That right there is a sign to me to do business elsewere.

You can have either front or rear locked or both, but you can't have different gears obviously. Maybe thats what they were thinking?

well. i have an lsd in the rear and an open in the front, from the factory, so according to your shops theory this will ruin my front diff? i think not my friend. like stated above you can just have a front locker and be just fine, and since it's selectable you'll most likey only be running it offroading or in the snow and such.
