I would much rather have the chain than the tow strap, but I only use a BIIIGGGG chain.

Anyways no matter what any of you do (especially you retards using chains) don't ever hook your straps or chains together with Clevices. I see people doing this **** and it blows my mind. Nothing like getting killed while you're out having fun...

+1 I use a heavy chain. (use 5/16" Grade 70 16000LB WLL)
Had those 10,000lb maxstraps pop and come back at me one time to many. I use the straps to wrap around what I am towing, then hook it to the chain.
NEVER GET A STRAP WITH HOOKS OR USE D-SHACKLES.Its known as the canon ball.

What the hell are you talkin about? It didn't break his window or anything. If that'd been a chain or if that strap had been held together with a clevice it would have slammed through the back window and could have killed him. Obviously you could still get hit with a strap if you're hanging out the window like a retard, but that's your own fault.

 

gee, I wonder why that tow strap snapped? he might as well have tied it to a train and tried to pull that.
