You know come to think of it it actually could be the rev limiter. Not because you are going to fast but,because the transmision isn't shifting to the next gear like it's supposed to. For example if I stomp on the gas at a red light my truck will take off and keep accelerating until the RPM's go into the red. Normally the transmision is supposed to shift but,my truck wasn't shifting correctly so I would hit the rev limiter. The rev limiter would makeit start to buck and cut out until I let off the gas enough for the transmision to shift. This sound exactly like your problem except at a higher speed. The problem with my truck was the TPS sensor. Do a search on this forum for the TPS sensor mod and do it. Then do a search for TV cable adjustment and do that to. Then post back and let us know the results. I'm willing to bet your problem is the engine is reving to high without shifting due to the TV cable. The TPS mod is just to rule that out.

hmm do you have a tach in your truck? if so look at it when the truck duz it, the rev limiter stock is 5250 RPM, of your getting that high them you could be hitting the rev limiter but at 110km/h i think youd half to drop to 2nd to get that high by 120km/h and i would think you would notice it the tranny droping a cupple gears usally at 110km/h if you punch it it will unlock the TC then drop to 3rd
