Hi, kind of new, I have posted a few times, And I was looking around under the hood looking for the "death flash sticker" and was looking at the ID badge under the hood and got kind of curious as to what engine I have, I was told it is a 5.9 but I cannot find anywhere on the truck to prove that, I looked on the door jam also, it just shows tranny codes and paint and all that. Is there a way to tell just by looking at it what engine it has? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

there should be an emissions sticker on the top of your radiator core support that tells you. you can also tell by your vin. the 8th vin is your engine code. I know Z is a 360 and i think a Y is a 318

 

Oh and the reason I am wondering is because I have done the TPS mod round air filter, Flowmaster exhaust, and full tune up, ie plugs, wires, cap/rotor and all that stuff and it is still just so gutless, Oh ya and it has a new cat, I would of just gutted it, but was on the side of the road and had to cut it open to make it home, and just had to get it back on the road. It just feels kind of gutless like it could be the 5.2.
