that really just sounds like flashey advertising from sts. any sales person will bull**** you into a sale. Also remember, boost isnt directly related to power, contrary to what those articles may say. I didnt get a chance to read them yet.

I think you would be better off doing a complete diy setup. Like othershave said if you buy some type of kit and none of it fits right you spent the money for nothing. Buy a turbo and intercooler decide where you want it mounted then design from that and then buy the piping you will need to make it work. I've seen kits for mustangs go for a good bit but guys have done diy setups and did itfrom 2000-2500.

I've wondered how a turbo would do on our trucks as well but my stang woud have one first

Can you shed some more light on the "boost isnt directly related to power" statement please? I thought that with more boost, there would be more air in the cylinders, which translates to more power?

And Im feelin the same as far as the flashy advertising mumbo jumbo from STS, thats a given. Id really like to see if this theory worked as it claims it does. I like the idea of keeping the engine bay cooler with out the extra heat that the turbo produces, but will it work as good asstandard front mounted setup?

Be sure to look at that set up that is posted in the youtube links, thats high on my list too. I realy like what that guy accomplished, as far as I can tell the videos look real and it looks like that rig runs pretty darn good too. I think that his set up would be better as far as a DIY set up goes. The inter cooler could be taken from a 2500 CTD, the piping could be done with a prebent summit kit, and I have a friend that could do all the welding. My only concern is what do I do with my stock computer, fuel managment, and how to size everything properly? Its a 95 Ram, would there be a way to have my computer moduleflashed?

And what about all the fuel delivery, where would I get all those goodies from? Jeez tons of questions but boy they sure look fun to drive, Id love to pull up next to a nice looking chevy or ford and blow those doors off of it with my ghetto looking truck!

remote mounts work just not as good. I'm sure you could get some type of programer that would take care of all the pcm stuff. Fuel delivery is basically bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump to handle them. No sure how the air is metered on our trucks if it even is. I've never took notice to a MAF on my truck butI could be wrong. If we do have them you'd prolly have to get a larger one of those as well.

boost is pressure inside the manifold, that doesnt nessissarly equate to pressure inside the combustion chamber because the heads flow like poop compaired to the manifold.

To really make this work properly and get reasonable psi's of boost
you either need to install forged lower static compression ratio pistons (best)
or, if you are on a budget
enlarge your cylinder head combustion chambers by grinding out the side around the exhaust valve bigger by 10-15 cc's.

The best Cometic head gasket should be used.

A Snow Performance
Water/Methanol spray kit will help too.
