Bump stop??

As I have posted before in previous threads I am going to lower my Ram. I was just wondering if anyone new if I can just cut my stock bump stops a little shorter instead of replacing them? Im puting a 2/4 DJM drop using coils up front and shackles and hangers in the rear. Thanx guys
