Few Questions on my 96 Project
ok so iv got my 96 Ram 4x4 extended cab that im fixing to start working on and all that. it is a hunter green with a champenge type of interior on the inside. Now im looking to redo the paint job cause it is faded bad. I wanna paint it black all the way around the outside and what not and leave the inside the same color. would this look right for the truck. i know that darker color trucks usually have darker color interiors and all that. i am getting new carpet and the seats and all cleaned so im not going to be redoing the interior to much. im gonna be throwing alot of money into it here pretty soon and dont wanna make it look like junk. anywayz any help would be nice. pics of black extended cabs would be kool to. thanks
Used to be common place to have a dark color vehicle with light interior. Black/tan was always a good mix. Red/ white too. You get the pic. Will look good. Make sure they get door jams and the back of the cab. Looks like crap if they dont.
not hard, use a paint scraper and be careful when pushing through the double faced body tape, that stuff is tough, start on one corner and get underneath it, once you have it off so far, pull on the stripping and kep cutting into the tape it will come off, then use paint thinner or the actual can of decal remover to get rid of the remaining old tape left behind, its tedious but its alot better than taping off the moldings, and you can buy rolls of double face molding tape at any parts store.
not trying to be lazy or anything but would it be easyier to get a painted grille and bumper and paint them than to try and strip the chrome off that i have? im pretty sure it would be but im just curious

oh you mean strip the plastic plating, will all you gotta do is sand its down to the plastic underneath then prime it, wet sand it then paint it same goes for the bumper, if you buy the paintable panel, you still have to do the same and plus it costs more money
