When do you plan on ordering the headers? since we all know what your decision is now, lol.
Also would like to know what kind of deals your seeing on those long tubes. you've turned me on to the L/T's more than what i was after before.

The Pro Comps shouldn't be anywhere near $1150. You can get them for around $800 I'm sure...
http://www.tirepackage.com has great deals, free shipping if you buy the tire warrenty.
http://www.4wheelonline.com has them for Buy 3 get 1 Free but they're a little more. Do some looking around online, the tirepackage.com one is one of the best deals.

Well got the tires down to $917 on the buy 3 get 1 free. That's pretty sweet. I still want to get headers, but its my parents that are going to be the ones helping me out. So it's their ultimate decision where they want to see their money being put. I am throwing down $400 personally and then they said they'd help me out. I kind of suggessted to my dad i wanted headers instead, and he texted me back and said he was somewhat leary of the tires i had on the truck. He thinks headers are stupid too lol. he doesnt really get the whole customizing vehicle scene, he thinks its dumb and childish. i guess is kind of, but its really addictive. I know I'd be a lot more satisfied with headers though. Get some extra horsepower, completely my exhaust system, and of course, it will be LOUDER, which i love. It would also officially take my to the next step of having a truly modded vehicle. I have a feeling though that in the long run, I should take advatange of getting the tires while they are offering me help, but i know even though tires would be a bigger gift, that they wouldnt be as "exciting"
I'm wondering what your getting for 600 bucks. I ask because I'm ordering a set of long tubes today and I'm getting them for $400 plus shipping. Also, have you considered intalling them yourself? Thats $200 in your pocket.
I'm getting off this guy one bay who sells them in bulk. There the pacesetter longtube ceramic coated headers, and it comes with the offroad pipe too. It's like $525, free shipping. I think its a good deal. Its something im considering doing, but i wanna make sure i know what im doing before i mess with taking off a manifold etc. Also, I need to make sure I buy some nice headgaskets, i hear pacesetters sucks. I also want to get some locking nuts, because everyone on this forum suggests them.
As for the condition of the mud rovers, they appear to have a good chunk of tread left. I just didnt know how they were going to be during the winter. They dont have any of those slices in the tread for ice or anything. Theyve suprisingly done pretty good in the rain and stuff, but its the icey and snowy roads im most concerned of. Do I go for the headers, or take up the offer to get a very nice set of procomp allterrains that will last at least 2-3 years and give me a nice smooth ride...hmmmmm
Yeah thats a good price, the ceramic headers and y-pipe are putting me back 520 as well. I'm also picking up felpro gaskets and a stage 8 locking header bolt kit.

Not sure if those are the best prices, but its what I've found so far.
Honestly though I would go with a good set of tires for winter, when a foot and a half of snow comes out of the sky the headers arn't going to help you.

Ehh...as much as I know headers would excite me. I think you are right too. It is smartest to take this offer while I have it, otherwise theres no way I could afford tires on my own. Plus I'll get a nice smooth ride, and it should coordinate nicely with the new trackbar I bought from thuren fabrication. Headers are my list next though after the tires. THEN...the wheels

Yeah I keep forgetting about Ice. Don't have that dilemna here. It's a nice day outside too, man. I wish I wasn't "working" so I could WORK on my truck. But anyway, make sure your treads right for the climate. Headers won't prevent you from sliding into a tree.
In fantasyland, it'd be great to just score new tires WITH new rims, and keep what you have as spares so have them when your feelin "dirty". The David Spade kind of dirty.
