I've been flippin through my haynes, and on the spot for door handle removal, it says to insert an allen into a socket and loosen the slack by pullin up on the handle, but everytime i try to turn the screw it wont move. Now before I get too crazy, is this correct for removing the door handle? I have to change my locks because my drivers side has been pryed or something because my key wont go in to unlock the lock from the outside.

 

No. That is an adjustment for slack in the handle. You need to remove the door panal inside and attack it from the back...2 nuts, and remove the rod.
