I paid 2600 for mine 1996 with new tires new fuel pump new battery new plugs and wires it runs great and shifts very well itn has 180000 miles on it. Engine is very quit and smooth at idle. Its a slt lariet ext cab.
I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.9L v8. Was the sport/offroad package (4.10 gears). Came with new 35" tires, and a 5" overall lift. Had 98,000 miles on it. Rides beautifully, everything works. I paid $6,995 for it. It had about $1,000 worth of body that needed to be addressed, so essentially after I fixed all the bodywork and replaced the junky catback exhaust system, it came out to a total of $8,500. But $6,995 from the lot.
I paid $9000 for my 1999 QC Sport 4x4 with the 5.9 with 92,300 miles on itback in June. It had brand new GoodYear AT 315/70/16 tires on it, a 3 inch lift, K&N CAI,Leather and is pretty much loaded. It had a little rust on the driver door(which I recently got fixed)but everything else seems as it should for an 8 year old truck. I've put some money into the exhaust mods and such, but that's pretty much it.
i bought my 99 ram 5.2 with 130k for 46k and it was babied everything worked brand new a/c and abs tru out newer tires clean only prob was the dash cracks....but who cares i got a steal u my friend may have been had but it all depends.....
I paid 9000 for my 2001 QC 4x4 with the tow package and a truck shell. The truck had 111,000 mi on it. I've had if for a year now and no problems at all.
So on average it looks like I overpaid by 2 - 3 grand. [&o]
depends on how you look at it...maby yes...but if you were to buy the truck stock, pay for the lift, for somone to put it it, buy new tires, rims.....who knows...did you get what you wanted? sometimes getting exactley what you want costs more...
