Ive been reading everyones posts, looking at what some people paid for there trucks. Made me start wonderin' if I should of looked around awhile longer on purchasing a truck for a better value.

121k Miles on the truck...
Engine hadthe #1rod go through it, they replaced it with another V8Magnum that had 71k on it.

The Transmission had a pretty nasty leak according to the receipt that came with it. They replaced some gaskets and seals.

New Torque Converter
New Overhaul Kit
New Reverse Band

Dinkie 100$ CD Player, on the window frame there is 1 mini speaker on each one, making it surround sound. AC/Heater works fine. Four wheel drives works in 4L and 4H. Stock speakers.

5 Inch Suspension Lift, 2 Inch Body Lift. Came with brand new 37 inch Toyo Tires.
DRIIV 17Inch deep dish rims [My insurance covers the rims for 1700$] Its still on stock 3.55 gears though [Which I plan on replacing with 4.56].

Theres the usual gooseneck dent on the tailgate, not too big. Has random little scratches throughout it, and what looks like a beebee shot dent[Not a hole tho] But from a distance it looks clean.

Like I said it came with 121,000 Miles, 71,000 on engine. Ive put 2100 miles on it, and it runs GREAT maybe not brand new, but close.

I've put zero money into it, minus the usual fluids, and some mudflaps.

Only problem I find bugging me is "SOMETIMES",not always! When I go into 4WD it'll grind when I push on it as it shifts either in or out, the guy at the lot told me before I even asked that it'll make that noise once and awhile, which I should of question at the time, but didnt.

I paid 10,900$ as is on lot[Trust me I tried to get him to go lower but didnt budge] It came with a 1 year warranty [Or 12k Miles] on the Engine and Transmission.

Did I overpay? If I paid too much or less, your opinion on true value would be nice!

I know ive had a handful of posts in the last 2 weeks, sorry forspamming, but ive had so many questions, and my friends arent very knowledgable when it comes to cars/trucks, you guys have been great for information, ive learned a lot by reading everyones posts, and try to add my 2 cents when I can,thank you all very much!

$8,000 sounds a bit more reasonable. But it depends on where you live. Westen, PA here.

Well lets see, i bought my 97 with a 5.2L v8 with a 5'5 fabtech lift bran new 35' super swomper etc. etc power everything WITH ONLY 65K Miles for 7,500.

oo yes of course Just to give u a idea. My dad is in fleat management sales. He sales fleat's of cars to companys so he has accuess to a website that tells him how much the trucks sell for, the years, miles etc. Dodge 97 with about 100K *said 20 where sold* they sold for a average price of 5000 with the max being 7000. Now this was at whole saler price but i bet u can find that price from some1 selling it them selfs.

Here is the 411 on mine.

97 Ram 1500
5.2L V8 4x4
Auto. P/W. P/L. Cruise control. Brand New Cat and Exhaust. Brand New Tires. Brand New K&N Air Filter. Receipts and records of everything done to the truck.
The factory radio was acting weird, soI upgraged to Blaukpunkt Keywest 36 MP3 Receiver. I also replaced the door speakers for 3 way Kenwoods. and placed a sony xplod amp, with a 12" sony xplod subwoofer. that is about the only mods I've done so far.
oh, almost forgot. I hadsteps installed, cause my mom kept on complaining it was too high for her whenever we go out together...LOL.
I think it has the sport package or something because is kindda lifted. i compared it to other Rams and it looks taller. it stands on 285/75/R16s and I measured 10 inches from the tire to to fender edge on the rear and 7.5 on the front ones ( am planning to fix this with 2.5 spacers for the front)
When I got it in april/04 it had 107k miles. as of today it has 111K.
I got it from a guy wholoved it and pampered it in every possible way for $4800.00 I think I got a good deal.

Not knocking you but I would have not paid that much.

I have an 01 Qc Sport 4x2 5.2l power everything, cd premium sound w/ steering wheel controls, leather, tow,.... everything you could get.
76K on it for 10K
