Default Anyone have a radiator canvas?

Tonight we had our first snow fall, and the coldest weather this season. 20 degrees. I drove 10 miles and I couldnt get the damn thing to warm past about 150. It was hovering btwn 130 and 140 when I was crusing down the highway in overdrive, so I had to take it out of od just to keep some temp. Im not changing out the thermostat untill I do the cam, so Im thinking of doing a radiator canvas. Does anyone run one on their truck? Any tips or tricks on making one?

Good grief Indy,do you jsut stay up all night modding your rig?

It's one thing to ask about a canvas cover at 2:10 in the morning, but to have one completed by 2:55,WOW dude!

Heck, I think life after college screws with your schedule. I can't stay up past about 10pm anymore without nodding off. I'm probably 5 yrs away fromdozing offin the middle of the day like grandpa used to do.

So, I drove it today, worked perfectly. My temp was back up to about 180-190, and it was colder today too by a few degrees. $5 worth of zip ties, and some fabric I had lying arround, and it saved me a trip into the engine again.

what t-stat are you running...in sure your taking 20*F right... never cover mine until it gets to -40*C and then its only partly, otherwise it'll overheat (tho i do have a grill insert that partly blocks it off, but it says in year round)

Here's the thread I posted awhile back on what I use.
https://dodgeforum.com/m_693773/tm.htm

I don't even put mine in until it gets into the single digit or below 0 though. I'd never put them in if we are only at 20. That's practically every morning where I live.
