Question about a Jeep
Hey guys, I know this isn't a Jeep forum, but you guys are some of the smartest so I figured I'd throw this out there:
-My buddy's got a '93 YJ, and we bypassed the cat and threw a header on it the other night.
-We dropped the passenger side of the skidplate under the tranny so we could saw the cat out.
-When we dropped it, the rear of the tranny came down, so much so that the shifter **** sat about 6 inches off the boot, we dropped it about 10 inches or so.
-We got it all back togather, and now he's complaining of popping noises when he's in gear, and just a little while ago it ground pretty good going into 2nd. A while after doing that, it wouldn't go into 2nd, so he put it in 3rd, and let the clutch out, then shifted back into 2nd, and it went in.
-I have no idea as to what happened, I'm thinking something like a synchro got f*d up when we dropped it. Anything you guys could throw out there, because we're just plain stumped. Thanks alot guys.
