Spark Plugs..
Question: i have a 01 ram 1500 5.9l v8. im lookign to replace the spark plugs in it and it seems to me from reading some forums thats the autolites are good ones to go with. Which ones should i be lookin at the 3923 or the 3922..... any info would be great.....
Don't bother with platinum plugs just run the good ole fashion copper cores. Autolite 3923.
Wires should be replaced with every tune up (unless you run a heavy duty wire like Magnecor, MSD,or Taylor wiresin the +8mm sizes)
Agood cap and rotor with brass contacts or the mopar performance cap and rotor isrecommended as well.
You can index the plugsfor ~+5hp by installing them so that the open end of the spark gap faces the fuel injector. Buy 12 plugs instead of 8 in case you can't geta few to fit in any cylinder correctly. About 20* either way isprobably closeenough.

5224 is the autolite "truck plug" for lack of a better term, has a longer tip similar to the champion "truck plug". i believe 5223 is 1 heat range colder in the longer tip style plug. then you have the 3924 which is the standard length plug in a stock heat range, and 3923standard length 1 heat range colder.
in all honesty, i run 5224's in my durango and 3923's in the ram and don't notice any difference between them. the durango gets better mileage but it's only a 318 and 2wd versus the ram's 360 4x4. power is identical between the two.
