where is the fuel filter located at on my 1500? its a19985.2 1500 extended cab long bed. thanks for the help.

If its the same as my 01 (and I'm not positive whether it is or not) it is in the tank and is a part of the sending unit which is replaced as a whole assembly.

its conveniently located inside the tank. the tank is conveniently bolted up tight inside the frame and heavy as hell when full of gas.

I HAVE A THREE INCH BL DO I STILL HAVE TO DROP THE TANK TO PULL IT OUT.

ummmmm....... i think you have to drop it or raise the bed, even w/body lift. its a big old long thing.

# 3 In the pic is the fuel filter/regulator. #8 is the primary fuel filter....
