I know it's been asked a million times but.....
Ok, I know it’s been asked a million times but, I have several questions about doing a suspension lift. I want to keep stock ride as much as possible. I also want to be able to tow things still. I’m looking at doing a 3” lift so here is my list of questions.
1. What is stock height for the front and back? (I ask because I'm running 33" tires without rubbing and from everyone elses post it sounds like they should be if my truck was stock.)
2. If I put a 3” lift spring up front do I need to then but in another 2” spacer so that the truck is level?
3. Do I need to get a whole new set of leaf springs in order to lift the rear? (I don’t want to use blocks)
4. How are the off roads lifted and is there any where that I could find the stock replacement parts for one?
5. Right now I have Monroe reflex shocks in the front and Monroe load levelers on the back. I really like the load levelers in the back do I have to replace them with new shocks?
6. What is the benefit of running dual shock in the front?

1. I ran 33's before lifting my truck. It depends on the tire and the backspacing of your rim, but some do fit w/o problems.
2. 3" spring up front will require 1" in rear to level (2" front puts truck level, but also remember, springs will settle after some time)
3. No, you can do an AAL if you don't want blocks. (good choice if you need to lift the rear and still tow)
4. The Off-roads (IIRC) use a 2" longer spring up front
5. With 3" you will need to replace the front with longer shocks. The rear will be fine.
6. Dual shocks up front stiffen up the ride. Less stress on other parts during hard hits, but stiffer ride.

I have a question i know anything over 3" springs you need to put new shocks in but do i have to put a new lower control arm in, i know i didnt have to in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for just a 3" but it could be different for the Ram please let me know thanks.

I think you have to atleast put in a new track bar.
Does anyone know the stock height?

i don't know the stock height but there was a post a while back about what lift was what ride height (had a bunch of people post on it) you can try to find it or wait for someone to tell you
so to answer your questions
1 33's will fit under a stock ram
2 you can put new coils up front or coil spacers (new coils well settle over time), depending on how much your rear springs have sagged you may need up to 2in of lift in the rear to keep it looking level
3AAL will work fine but will give a stiffer ride but allow you to haul a but more
4 offroads have taller coils (about 2 in)in the front and a bigger block in the rear, as well as 4.10 gears and a stronger transfer case you could try to find one at a junk yard but best to get new parts for the lift
5 3in lift is the max for re-using your shocks, usally they can be reused however it is best to measure the travel and see how much is left
6 dual shock setup absorbs more shock from impact (really rough terrain/if it were to come off the ground then land) it will make it a bit stiffer on the highway but not too bad, if the truck is going to stay mostly on the main road (offroading all the time) you don't need this setup
Thanks for everyones help. I gues I'm going to get coils for the front and an aal. I don't mind the stiffer ride. The rear is already really stiff after I installed those loadadjusters. The front is still really soft though.I'm going to drive on that setup for awhile and see if I still want the dual shocks or not.
