Default speedo recalibrate and brakes

hey guys

im looking to recalibrate my speedometer but im trying to find the cheapest way to do it.
i have a 98 ram 4x4 and just put on a 3" lift with some mickey thompson baja claws 315/75R16 (34.9")

i have looked into the truspeed $180 at the cheapest and hyper tech II but im working on a budget.
is there any cheaper way to do it? or do i just need to eat the 180 bucks?

on another note i need better brakes
any suggestions rotors and pads? best links?

thanks

I also have a 1998 4x4 Ram, mines a 5.9 engine what u got?I just got it recalibrated 2, maybe 3 weeks ago also. I got it done at the stealership, I hate giving them my money, but all the locals were charging 200+, stealership did it for 103$ even, have you looked into them?

The dealership can do it for you, but you could find a used hypertech or superchip programmer for under $200 (Like this -->http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...mZ190181223472)

I would suggest that because, although it is more up front, you can continue to change tire sizes as well as pull the calibration off the truck when you sell it and sell the programmer back (most likely for pretty close to what you paid). Just my .02 though.

I've had mine done a couple times at the dealership (when I went to 33's and then again when I went to 35's). Each time, I was only charged 1/2 hr labor, or about $35 + tax.

wel with my 35'si havent bothered recaling my speedo yet (and i even have a supership lol) you are abou 10% off so just add 10% to what ever speed your doing and ittl be fine
example
10 mph =11
20 mph =22
30 mph =33
40 mph =44
50 mph =55
60 mph =66
70 mph =77
and so on

hey.. adjusting your tires, you can use some programmers and change the ride height specifically to that height..
I did it myself, (as well as the tuning part), and when I had a dyno done, the guy asked who did my calibration as it was dead-on to the kilometer.
