Default Dual Exhaust, what you pay?

Monday morning im getting Flowmaster 50 dual exhaust put in, the guy is charging me 400$ for everything including the installation fee, I have 3 days to sit on it if I dont agree with his price, but im thinking that isnt too bad. Does that sound fair to you guys? Anyone here have it put in before?

300-400 range is a fair price anything above 450 i would really question it.. enjoy the sound!!! reason why your putting a 50 on ? 40 series is not that loud inside but outside it barks...

From what I hear 40 is much louder then the 50, I want a nice sound, but not screaming. Mostly because I dont need anymore attention then I have now, my tires stick out 3 inches more then they should, and I dont want to spend the money for fender flares if a cop decides to pull me over someday for it. So overall sound I guess.

Well...I think you could do even betta than that bro! Buy the muffler from 21stcenturyexhaust. It should be about $55-60. Then if you'd like, purchase some tips from summitracing.com. If you get a nice set of tips, they'll probably run $75-100 for the two together. If your just doing a catback exhauast, you shouldnt be charged anymore than $200. So your looking at $360. Come to think if though, if he's givig you that price with the muffler, tips, and installation, then that's a fair price. However, if he isn't including the parts with that, then it's a rib job. I paid for my exhaust components seperately (flowmaster super 44=$66, magnaflow tips=$104, 3" magnaflow cat=$85). Then I had my exhaust guy slap the system in for me for a total of $215. So that should give you an idea. Again, if he's offering the tips, and muffler in that price, I suppose it's good, however my price included a hi-flow cat..

You don't want that 50 series, its so gay lol!! Here is what my truck sounded like when it had a 50 series flowmaster on it out the back...I guess it was diesent, but idk, I needed something louder (super 44 w/ gutted cat cough cough)[8D]. I think you would be dissapointed after you spend all that money and you hear this little tone. You won't regret it, go with a 40 series muffler, or the 44, they are nice, and aren't always loud if you drive like a normal person, they can be tamed lol.
