Default 1998 5.2ltr oil leak

I just discovered an oil leak between the rear of my oil pan and the front of the transmission. It isn't leaking too badly. Does that sound like a rear main seal?? I don't have the fascilities or knowledge to do that one so, there goes another 1000 bucks. Just got the thing back for a fuel pump that went out. DANG!!!

yup its the rear main , just have to drop the oil pan to replace unless its a 2wd then you gotta lift the motor a little to drop the oil pain..then you gotta replace the front main and the oil pan gasket..

Did you mean if it is a 4 wheel drive?? Mine is 2 wheel drive. I am thinking it would be easier on a 2 wheel drive.
