4:10 or 4:56 for my 5-speed 5.2L Ram?
I've got a single cab, 1500 2WD. I need to increase towing ability by a LOT, but still need the truck with good manners for daily driving. That 5-speed they put in there is pretty long-legged after 3rd gear anyway, and I figure I would have a TON of room on the highway left for 4:56 gears.
Anyone have experience with either? Thanks

If you were running an auto tranny I might push twords 4.56's but with your 5 speed I would say 4.10's are enough. ryans590 has a good point, the gearing you need is depented on your tire size.

This calculator should help give you an idea of RPM's for different speeds, tire sizes and gear ratios.
