underdrive pulleys, if you have a complete set, will give you some where around twenty hp gain. Good start for the ultimate goal.

underdrive pullys are really good for 20HP?

i already ahve a 3/5" drop on the bench. Also do you really think i should go with 4:10 gearing. Im just worried about cuttn the top end alot and cuttn the gas mileage!

i would go with 410's. How many times in a race do you go into 3rd gear??? never. Most of the race is in 1st, then second. If anything they will help in the highend department becuase you'll get there faster. The motor wont have to work near as hard. Also Do you see alot of highway driving or mostly town. If you see mostly town then 410 will help gas milage some. If you want. you can get a set of taller tires for when your going to go on the interstate and smaller tires for the other times. Import guys do this as an easy way to get lower gearing when the go to the track

A larger gear ratio will absolutely hurt your top end,and when you get to 117 MPH in 3rd gear in your 1/4 mile runs and start bouncing off the rev limiter, you can call me and gripe me out that you were going too slow and I convinced you to kill your top end.

Well its a hard choice. Im probably going to drive to and college which is only a 30 min drive and it goes thru towns but its only 55 mph there. So im really considering puttn the 4:10's in. Do you guys think its worth it or should i go withthe 3:90's? by the way i have 15" Eagle Alloys!

I get better gas mileage now that I put the 4.10's in. If the bulk of your driving is under 60MPH you'll probably benefit too. Get an exact tire size and plug it into this:

http://www.drivetraindirect.com/t_gear_calculator.htm

OD ratio on our trucks is 0.69 not 1.A 1:1 ratio is your 3rd gear. You want your average diving speed to be somewhere between 1800~2000RPMs. That way your getting better power for your burn.
