Sweden calling 4 help
My friend that has a car repair company but is a real "GREASE MONKEY"
when he blowed something on my Dodge Ram 1500, 1996, 5,2 Lit. truck. We were looking for some troubles with the Oxygene sensors and then he puted a tester to the wirering on the Trottle Position Sensor and putted 12 volt on it and the Engine died and I could not start it after that. **** !!!
So I replaced the TPS to anew - BUT - it still wont start. What´s wrong - please help me !!!I have checked the Electric Wiring scedule and saw that the MAP sensor is connected to the same violet/white cable and both goes to the Power Control Module. Is the PCM damaged or what ?Check with your Dodgefriends or some DODGE repair genious
and get back to me soon as possible - please !!!Take Care

You should give it a little bit of time before e-mailing people. It's a little weird to just e-mail someone like that.
ANyways about your problem.
What does the truck do when you try to start it? How did the he hook up 12 Volts to the TPS?

LMAO !!!!! more than likely you or he just burn the PCM .. does that garage have an ODB II scanner ? or a code reader ? like to see if thats even working (reading) or dead.. How did they put a12v on it ? sending a charge thru any of those wires will get you in trouble..
If you fed 12V to the TPS ( or just about any other sensor that has a signal voltage to the PCM) then the PCM is most likely FRIED!
PCM signal voltage runs at 5V and you have more than doubled that.

I think i said about the burnt pcm # 3 , check you fuse to make sure you didnt blow any of those out including the ones under the hood...there some one can repeat that and take credit for it...LOL
perhaps someone here
with a 1996 Ram FSM in pdf
or the similar 2001 Ram pdf
could host a file download for the guy in Sweden who needs help
or point to an active link
already hosting a similar file?
there is a 2004 Ram wiring diagram at:
http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/2004/dr/drmiscmo.pdf
but the 1996 is probably different enough to make that not useful
