Thought I would share.

Anyone know how to get the injectors out? Do I just pull on the fuel rail?

I had to hold that gasket up there cause it fell apart as soon as I touched it, as you can see it offered no protection, the one next to it was the same.

Should just pull out. Will take a little grrrr to do it. They wont just fall out.

why are you yanking the injectors??

 

I want to make sure the fuel rail is clean, and I was going to clean the injectors as well.

BTW, Thanks for your plenum writeup, helped me get motivated to do this, having all those pics.

 

well, at least you got the beer bottle outta there. That should get you back you top end.

Any suggestions on where I should be putting RTV?

I guess the heads would be a no, but it looks like there was some on the intake.

Suggestions please.

 

on the ends of the end gaskets for the intake manifold where the intake meets the block & the head. you dont need alot, just enough to make a good seal between them
