Default Why is it doing this

every time my truck hits about 45 to 50 MPH the truck becomes unresponsive. The RPMS will stay right at 1500. i could be driving on flat ground or driving up/ down hill and it will do this. i have to floor is before it will pick up again. am at a loss to why it does this any help will be appreciated.

lock out overdrive and see how it does. if it's much better than your looking at low bottom end power. what is your exhasut setup like?

the cats only 5 months old. my exhaust is single up to the muffler and dual out the the rear axle where it stops

my truck did that. i'd mash the gas a little and nothing would happen. mash it more - still nothing mash it a little more and it'd downshift and take off. i replaced throttle position sensor (TPS) and it got a lot better.

that is exactally what mine is doin. I'll check TPS. I think its been replaced once already.

i turned OD off and had no problem

I would tighten the kick down cable then, it sounds like its not kicking down fast enough for your liking.

Any one figure out about the kick down cable thing yet? I have the same problem.Between 1500 and 1800 there is like a deadend on power until you give it gas and make it go.
