With proper maintnance and care, it would be suprising NOT to see these motors running past 300,000 miles. Halfamil is living proof of this.
I plan on re-building the top end of my motor at its 200,000 mile birthday. Bottom end....Well, it'll be good for another 200,000 after that. I wont even touch it! I've got 178,000 on my trusty 318 now.

I had a 96 that was used as a work truck hardly ever changed the oil. i sold it with 226K on it and it still ran like a top. and my workers and i beat the tar out of it. but in all fairness when we got it it did get regularly serviced every 3K and we got it with about 130K on it
