What does a sub woofer have to do with it?
I have an infinity 10" sub in my truck and ever since the install my compass in both the on board, and a hanging key chain floating compass point and it lol, so no matter where I go, I'll always go SE, but I havnt got to florida yet so I'm disappointed..
Oh I see what you are trying to say. Wow, I wouldn't think they would be strong enough to do that. If you wanted to try and block it you could put some stainless steel around the magnet.

I've got bad mileage on my 98 too, and it only has 265/75s with stock gears. I can only imagine how much fuel your 360 has to work to move your 35s. Plus, when was the last time you got a tune up? Plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, tire pressure check. All of these can make a difference if any are faulty.

Those overhead consoles aren't accurate if that makes you feel better. Turn it off if it's distracting you. I've driven trucks 80 miles past when the computer said they were empty and it still wasn't empty.

Secondly it's winter time, idling, warming the car up, running in open loop for 10 minutes before the motor reaches opperating temperature are going to make your mileage suffer just a little bit more. I know there's been this weird rumor that cold air helps people get better gas mileage, whoever told you that is making **** up or does not drive a dodge ram. It's a few hundered degrees inside intake manifold, no amount of cold air is going to change that very much unless you're running a supercharger through an intercooler.

Thirdly if you were to remove the lift and put some 30 or 31 inchtires on the truck you would probably pick up 2-4 mpg, with the 4.10s even a 33" would probably be good.

Stay out of 4 low, you don't really need it unless you're climbing a steep hill (offroad) or pulling someone out (again probably only offroad). 4 low sucks gas.

Next time before you take it to the garage write down the mileage too so you can tell if they're out joyriding in your ****.

LOL that's ****in awesome! I will too haha. But yeah all those variables you mentioned are dead on. I only use 4Low when I'm going through thick snow or when I am going through a giant mound of snow at the end of the driveway. But I'm sure those occassions effected the overheaded. I hate that damn overhead tho lol, the only thing nice about it is that it makes the truck look a little fancy inside the cab. It's funny, I'm sure if these overheads exaggerated how good our gas mileage was, then we'd all be saying how kickass they were hahaha

I cant believe you would take you truck to the shop and not right not milage... Its an excuse to beat some mechanics *** when theres an extra 10 miles on ur truck.

Winter kills mpg... in winter they put more ethanol in the gas to help prevent freezing, i think its like it takes 1.6parts ethanol to make the same power as 1 part gasoline... so not only are you loosing power its taking more gas to do the same thing. The actual cold does it too... oils are thicker, and in a 4wd there is alot for the oil to slow down. 4wd also takes more fuel... ect ect ect...

I usually get 15-17 mpg in the summer, but my last fillup was only 10.5 mpg... but I did come home from work at 105mph the entire 15 miles... that usually drinks gas.

It should go back up in the summer... you bought a truck you cant complain about it...

LOL 105mph?! **** I wish I could go that fast, but aint happening in this thing. Your right though, it's a truck it's what you get. And I am completely dedicated to not letting it bother me. BUT, with that said, I still like to make sure it's getting the best mpg's possible. I love this truck, it's all I think about when I'm at work or at school haha (besides getting a beej from a smokin chick lmao)...but sometimes I get a little annoyed when I'm getting like 8mpg, that can be depressing haha, but wutever, it's winter like you guys said. I'm going crazy though, its snows like every 3 days, so I can't even get my truck cleaned, it's always salty, drivin me nuts haha! It'd be stupid to waste money at a carwash because even when it's not snowing, the roads have **** all over them. I've just been handwashing it with like $3.00 to get the salt off the truck and underneath so nothing corrodes, but they aren't like nice finish carwashes, irritating
