distributor suck fest
my truck wouldnt start the other night. now its gotten harder and harder to start as the weeks go by so ive assumed that the fuel pump was going. the other night itjust turns and turns and nothing. so the kid i work with says maybe your capis cracked and i say what the hell ihave a new rotor and cap in the truck lets try and throw it on. bad idea now im not a nascar mechanic but i am a entry level tech(in m/c at least) im not retarded i can do this... WHO THE F#@% had the bright idea to put the ditributor on the back of the motor underneath the windshield cowling! long story short my buddy takes forever to get his cap bolt out and i say "hey mine just broke right free!" broke being the key word. so two days later i tow it to my other job at a tow truck company to work on it in doors. so i decide to do the plenum gasket at the same time. 7 hrs later i have the intake ouit after having to cut the pipe for the egr cuz that bitch wasnt coming off.in takwe out motor timed mark and pull dis. go to drill out bolt ... drill gos sideways and ruins the mount go to store to get another and... it doesnt fit. now when i say it doesnt fit i dont mean i dint line it up right while dropping it in the damn bitch is to big to fit in the block. queue me arguing with advanced for 1/2 an hour over how retarded i am.so then i have to c clamp the clamp onto the old one (i know i know temp fix!) throw it back together with the new stuff and... that wasnt the damn problem! so there goes 13 hours fifty bux i didnt have for the gaskets and the oil sending unit i broke and i still need someone else to fix it! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! do you think an actuak pro could do this without pulling the intake? because i still need a new distributor before i will inevitabkly have to replace the fuel pump?
