I have a 96 1500 with a 5.9L. I have removed the water pump and it appears to be in good shape.However, on the motor side of the water pump, the wallis etched in a couple of places where the pump propellers spin like chunks of something got stuck there at one time. What is this part on the engine side called and do I have to remove the huge pulley to replace it? I took out all the bolts I could find but piece still won't come out. Leaks coolant well though!

that should be a housing that bolts to the block....

you need a new timing chain cover
