Hey GOLD PRO
How's the winter plowing coming?
Been pretty good here so far, we got 3 plowable snows so far and I 've only had one break.
My plow had a hydraulic line blow out.
I was lucky I had duct tape and extra fluid in the truck.
I nursed it along and made it to the dealer and got it replaced
My friends racked up some carnage though,
heres the list of desruction.
1 . Nuetral saftey switch on Allison trans , couldn't move the truck until about 1500 rpm's.
2 . Broken cutting edge from a curb
3. Twisted mount from hitting a man-hole cover.
4. Salt spreader auger jam.
5. fried wiring harness.
6. Broken lock in hubs and lower ball joints.
These all happened on the last snow to different trucks, what's funny is most of the stuff was new plows and trucks.
It just shows ya that plowin is ruff.
Hope your doin well and makin money.
Let it snow , let it snow

hahahahha yea man we have been doing good no breakdowns yet.(knocks on wood) the only tihng that has been giving us trouble is our sander truck, the sander seems to break every storm, lol but thats no biggie. both dodges are holding up real good, this is the first year pushing snow with the red v10, and its a monster of a truck.
Well it's the 1st of March and the snow isn't coming as hard as predicted , but we've been scaping and salting mostly.
Had to help a friend replace his tranny in his old chevy salt truck.
We had to push him home , we used the snow plow on my truck to to the back of his bumper.
I was laughing for quite awhile.
I must say the Chevy plows well , but when the plow is lifted it squatts the crap out of the front end.
My buddy keeps trying to tell me to torq the torsin bars , but I don't wanna screw up the ride or wear my tires out.
I figure after winter I'll pull the plow package off and sell it.
I'll save my money all spring and summer and I should have a Ddge again to work with.
Hope everything is going well.

thanks man, its going well for us as well, no break downs yet, lol we havent had much sno tho. Also as long as you only turn the t-bars a few turns likr 4-5 you should be fine, dont crank em like 10 then your askin for trouble. also if you wanna be safe turn em like 5 times and have the truck re-alligned your tires will be fine. or if you dont wanna mess with that just buy timbrens, they make a world of diffrence.
Sorry guys, but this kind of stuff really needs to be done as a PM instead of a thread like this. Read rule number 11 here:
