I don't know, I don't think I really want to mess around again with that 3M sticky stuff again. Winter is just starting up again, and I don't want to gamble them falling off again. I was thinking going pretty crazy this time, and using JB Weld for plastics. Or some kind of strong epoxy, that way I know they aren't going to get torn off in a carwash or the cold temps. of the winter won't take them off. What do you guys think of that? Or have any other suggestions?

Yeah, I'd say use something really strong, such as the JB weld or epoxy. If you need to you can get them off after using that stuff, but it will probably take a little work and time, but they'll come off.Hopefully you won't have to take them off. I had some on a truck a while back and they got taken off in a carwash about 50min from my house and I never knew they were gone until I was already home and that definitely sucked.

LOL ya see, that's exactly what I don't want hah! I just can't picture that 3M tape **** to withstand against anything like a carwash, they are designed for like carshows and ****, not everyday life. I'm lucky they didn't fall off while I was driving. For some reason they decide to fall off on me while I was backing out of my driveway (don't know how I didn't run them over). But yeah I think I'll do that tomorrow. Seeing it's x-mas, chances are there aren't going to be any hardware stores open today. It will be a good tail light day..

On another note, I'm done with the blackout headlight covers. I've come to the conclusion that as cool as they look, they aren't worth all the headlight loss I get at night. It's just fricken terrible. I have to have it high beam mode just to get back to what a headlight should usually look like, and you can't obviously go around everywhere in highbeam mode. I think I'll be satisified with the blackoutlook in the back. I already have the crystal headlights in the front with the clear corners so that's cool. I plan to be running HID kits in both the headlights AND foglights, tell me that aint goin to be crazy! How often do you see vehicles with HIDs for all four headlights, not often. It's going to give my truck that real street look at night which I love, I also will be able to see very nicely, so that's an exciting upcoming project after the header installation. I always get a little sad at night because you can't see the truck anymore, but it will give me something to look forward to at night when I know I get to snap on four HIDs along with the loud noise, you'll know it's me at night too. If anyone is interested in some headlight covers I'll sell them to you..I just don't think I can bare with the loss of visibility anymore, the look isn't worth it for me if I can't even see at night lol.

Yeah alright, the smoked tail covers are back in action now lol. Today I took the tail lights off completely and brought them inside. Then I got some nice epoxy for plastics, and dabbed it where the 3M stickys were, and I set the covers over the tail lights. Then I let them sit inside for 5 hours. When I went to check on them, yeah...they weren't even moving lol. If these fall off I give up lmao, but yeah the smoke tails look sick, I love it. They really outdo those ugly clears haha!
