? regarding my Fastman tb
To all who are running the Fastman tb. Have any of you found that your tb "whistles or howls"? This is only happening to me at 80+ mph and gets extremely loud at 100+. Does not appear to be a leak ofany sort. Honestly just sounds like she is breathing very well. I recently put on a shaker hood and was wondering if that may have aidedor amplified this phenomina. Any suggestions or thoughts?

What type of air filter assembly are you using. The stock assembly is a PITA to get sealed on the TB correctly which can cause leaking sounds to be louder than they should be.

The shaker assy has a 14 in round air filter. Looks like one you can pull off the shelf at any parts store. It to has a gasket which is installed. Odd that this only happens at high speeds.

If it were a sealing problem with your air cleaner, it would be related to a certain rpm, but because your problem is related to speed, it has to be a result of air flow over, around, or through something. Since your hood is a recent addition, I would think it would have to be related to that, or how the air now flows into the engine compartment as a result of the hood.
So the hood has functional scoops?
If so,tryblocking the scoops off and seeing if the noise is still there just to see if it is related.
I have a Fastman TB and a Mopar 14" round air cleaner (no hood mods though), and the IAC motor noise is very loud and high pitched. Also the sheer volume of air being taken in now vs. the stock air hat is tremendous and significantly louder than stock. Maybe it is as simple as your not used to the increase in the noise level due to the style air cleaner and the fact that the IAC is much more noticable now???
Still though, the speed relation I would think has to be related to air flow through your new hood, or the combination of your hood and new TB.

Well that is weird, but being as you just recently changed to that hood, I would be looking for something related to it then.
