tranny problem/questions
yeah i know, this has been asked a thousand times but i need some advice.
couple months ago as some of you know i had a leaky tranny pan and i finally got it fixed. i had a buddy help me fix it the 1st time (failed attempt) and he over filled the transmission badly. I didnt know until i got back into town from an hour drive. When i got off the highway and went to go from a red light it was not wantin to engage. it would just rev up and creep down the road. dranined the pan and refilled it to the proper level and it fixed it fine. now a couple months after that the tranny is bein a PITA. It engages into d and r fine but when im applying light throttle you can feel the tranny hammer and hear it in the exaust (sounds like bood bood bood then shifts). on the higway i have to be over 70 or the whole truck vibrates from the floor board and you can feel it in the throttle.
my question is would a band adjustment fix this or is my tranny about to be shot out?

do band adjustment first, then retest.
you don't have to remove pan-the rear band is not really used unless you are in "1" on the column.
could be - front oil pump or torque converter...
if band adjustment doesnt fix it, then do a pressure test using a gauge and the ports on the tranny case.

thanks man, i knew you would have good input.
im not really experienced with trannys and i dont wanna do any more damage to it, should i just take it to the tranny shop and have them do it for me?

Easy to perform yourself sinch the pan doesnt have to be removed, you are adjusting the FRONT band... you will need an Inch pound torque wrench, a Torx bit, and a 3/4" wrench
alright, i gotta go pick one of those up. i appreciate the help bro.
