i myself am running 3 inch from the manifolds into a 3 inch in and out Magnaflow Hi-flow cat-convertor and a 3 inch bore 18 inch long glasspack and turned it down before the real axle. Now I am legal in all states. You will hear me coming a mile away before you ever see me. I ran a 40 series flowmaster and its not even near as loud as my glasspack. If you want loud and still be legal go with what I got. You'll like it.

Well i guess what ill probably end up doing is getting a high flow magnaflow cat and then have some 18-22" tips 4" diameter at my original 45 degree angle set up.

Louder or deeper? My first car was a 75 Grand Prix with a 400. I had a holley carb and I dumped the cat, and put in 73 Chevell pipes. It was one piece. Put a turbo muffler on it. My mom drove it while I was painting a house, and I knew it was my car from the deep throaty sound even though my back was to the road. Not loud and brassy. Give me deeper over louder anyday. Please keep your minds on mufflers guys.

I want a deeper sound, not like a straight pipe sound. Right now i have a 40 series but it doesnt seem to be deep enough for me. could the possibilty of tips change that?? or should i swap out a different muffler? maybe the super 40 series. what you think?
