I never really cared for the cover on the back of the tailgate, theat's why I was really glad they did away with them when I went shopping in 2000.

padodgeram's is the only one I've seen that I like, but I think the fenderwell flares and the other little tweaks help pull it all together and make it fit better.

3m makes a rubberwheel that goes on to your drill and it takes off the glue i did that with my 98 ram .

I debadged mine and took the black trim piece off the tailgate also. Best tool I ever used I got from a napa autobody supply store. Itslooks like a die grinder but it has alot lower rpm setting on it. And then you get a rubber wheel that goes along with it. It should be in the same area of the store. Both things together cost me about 30 bucks. The wheels are about 10 each and I did my whole truck with two. Also I got a can of adhesive remover for a couple bucks to help loosen up the really thick stuff. Just remember to get stuff that is paint friendly. When I get back to my house tonight I will go out to my garage and take some pics of the tool I am talking about.

why do yall wanna take the emblems off?

Because they are dumb looking. If they looked more like the 3rd Gen emblems I'd keep them.

Goo gone is also an excellent adhesive remover for the leftover stickiness. Using a bitof spot X or other scratch remover afterwards will get rid of the outline. DO NOT use rubbing compound, it is too abrasive!

IMO using the term "ricer" for removing emblems is a bit rash for technique that dates back to the mid nineteenfities (or earlier). I believe it cleans up the flowing curves of the ram nicely.

Here's another one. The badges on the 2nd gen just look so out dated to me.

i have a 96 and im about to go remove mine as we speak cause its like 70 degree's here today. also, could the moulding from the 2000's fit the 96? i think the moulding looks better than the older one's too.
