Plenum/Water Pump
I was poking around the engine bay, and it hit me, as long as this leak is at bay I think I am going to hold off till I get that plenum kit and get some new wires. Isn't it easier to replace the wires with the intake off? And the procedure for installing the kit and swapping the water pump is almost identical, correct? Beside the Thermostat, what else could I do to help performance while I have those things off? I know some rockers would be good, but i dont know if I'll have enough money for that. Unless there are some good ones for under 200, I might be able to squeeze them out in a couple weeks.
Timming chain , your not gonna find nothing for that price with roller rockers , your so close you could do a cam thats 299.00 ..cheap HP would be install electric fan flex a lite # 210..
Rather than performance stuff, ya might want to consider maintenance items while it's torn down. I.E. valve cover gaskets; definately wires, cap, rotor; vac and water hoses; and if you even think you might want to do the CPS mod, do that NOW while you can reach it. Also to consider, oil sender or just about anything else not easily reachable while the keg and water pump are out.
Seems like everything is around $300! Roller rockers, roller lifters, rods, cams, springs, exhaust, headers. From the pictures I have seen, and depending on the miles, you would be crazy not to do the timing chain when you do the plenum.
With that said, $1500, is not too bad for what you will get in return. The question you need to ask is how many times do I want to tear into it?

Yeah I am debating what I want to do, because I don't really care for a super powered truck, the 360 block has enough go for me, I really feel that the open air intake, fastman and high flow cat/muffler would be enough boost for what I want. I just want to tear this thing down once honestly, as I am not a block kind of guy.
Depending on the year of your truck; if you have the "death flash", you can help the performance by moving the crank sensor over to adjust the timing. You thereby minimize the effect of said flash.
Again depending on the mileage; some here have had problems with the oil sending switch and if yours is old you may want to replace it while it's easy to get at.
