Default 94-01 Alarm install

Anyone install their own alarm? I'm preparing to install a Alarm/Keyless entry/Remote start on mine. Got it all figured out except the door locks. They are reverse polarity and I knowI will have to buy some relays. Anyone do this before? Just looking for some tips beforeI tackle this project.

You will need 2 relays if your ram does not have power door locks and you are instaling them. I added power locks to my 80 stang using reverse polarity lock actuators.I think you can splice into the wires if it has power locks allready.

My Ram DOES have power locks but the wiring diagram provided with my alarm system shows relays being used.

Here is a diagram similar to the one that came with my system.

I think some systems have the relays built in. The picture shows pretty much the same as how I wired my 'stang except I don't have any switches to lock/unlock. The tricky part if finding a good spot to intersect the factory wiring. I would consider doing this in the drivers door if you have room and run the two wires to the alarm from there.Thepassenger side under the dash could be a good spot too or maybe the passenger side kick panel. Have fun!

Thanks for the input, I did some reading and my setup doesn't have the built in relays so I do have to buy a couple... Pretty straight forward though so it shouldnt be hard.
