I have the CherryBomb Extreme muffler on mine (NOT the Vortex) and it is LOUD! The major problem I had with mine is that it would cackle and pop when I hit the accelerator if I had any length of tail pipe on it. I ended up installing a 22" louvered glasspack backwards, then immediately into the CBExtreme with a short turndown that's been modified to an oblong opening. This setup exits in front of the rear axle, just behind the cab. It sounds soooo much better! It has a nice low grumble / growl to it at idle and during light acceleration. When I get on it, the sound is a loud ROAR with no more popping or cackle sound. It has improved the lower end torque a little as well. With the glasspack installed backwards, the louvers actually aim the exhaust flow into itself, increasing velocity before it enters the CBExtreme. I really like this setup and am looking into getting a sound clip posted. I just need to figure out how to do it. I also have the long tube headers and 3" y-pipe in front of this setup, but I think it would still give a great sound with stock manifolds and y-pipe. I just heard a setup with the Flowmaster 10 series racing muffler on a 5.2L Dakota installed in place of the CAT with a 2.5" turndown and stock exhaust manifolds and y-pipe. It sounded pretty loud. It actually is louder than my setup but with a little different bass tone to it and less of the grumble, but more loudness.

Don't go with a super 40 flowmaster, its too quite. My 3 inch bore glasspack is 10 times louder than the super 40, i have ran both and i have the glasspack on now. The flowmaster that you see in the video is the original 40 series, not super 40, but just a 40 series, which is way louder than a super 40. If you want loud i would suggest a 30 series or even 10 series. If you insist on a super 40, i will sell the one I have for $60. I will never run another super 40 even again.

actually i was thinking boduke. Is the 30 series much louder than the 40 series? and will it still have that flowmaster tone to it? Because they have those in stock now and i could get that put on. But is it louder than the 40 series delta flow?
