Default Little mad...

Well i know why im not real happy with the exhaust i have now. When i had this one put on i specifcally told them NOT to use the 40 series delta flow. Well for the heck of it I just checked under my truck on my muffler and i have the 9430422 which is indeed the 40 series delta flow one. This is why my muffler isnt really that loud im guessing, so im going to order another muffler and have them put it on. Im thinking the super 40 or the super 44. Im not real happy and there isnt much i can do because i got it installed a few months ago. What you guys think of the delta flow muffler?? Its not as loud as the super 40, super 44 or the original am i correct? or is it not worth it?

i would call and bitch to them, but u said it was a couple months ago so it wont do much good now. the delta flow is very quiet compared to the super 40. i have that on my truck and im very happy with it. alot of people like the super 44 but the 40 is deeper and it pops better in my opinion.

Alright for the hell of it i called my buddy that has a reg cab 5.2l short box 1500. He has stock system until after cat which is 3 in into a 40 series dual exit 2.5in. He has then the tail pipes on the 45 degree angles at the end of the bed with 16in long 3.5 inch tailpipes/tips. His truck has a deep powerful flowmaster grawl. I hope with this and everything else i told ya. I'm sorry they did the delta flow to ya, exhaust shops can be a holes from time to time.

So the deltaflow 40 series is in deed quieter?? I mean the number i read near the inlet side of the muffler read 9430422. That is the delta flow correct?? And if thats the case, I should go with the super 40? Or perhaps the super 44?? either way i told the guy 2 times that i did NOT want the delta flow 40 series, i wanted the original 40 series. Its sad because, this wont be my only truck, ill have another one someday and i wont do business with them again.

Oh and could you possibly get me the model number for the super 40 series 3" inlet 2.5" outlet ??

OH and another thing i found out. If thats the model number, then i dont have 2.5" pipes that model number according to the flowmaster site is actually 2.25" when i told them i wanted 2.5". Edit: nevermind they used 2.5" but they modified it to fit on 2.25" outlets on the muffler

i would. its loud on mine. my buddy has a 3rd gen 318 with some magnaflows, it really isnt that loud. flowmaster is king in my book.

at night in this town is the best, my buddies call and tell me they can hear me drivin around. in the morning my buddy who lives about 250 yards across the pond can hear me crank up my truck from his basement. im his alarm clock

I'm with motor on this. I would call them and tell them about how you feel about the situation.
