Just looking at the picture, I think that truck has around 5" of lift. If you post some pics of where the body attaches to the frame, we could tell you if it has a body lift or not.

if you want to know how much of a lift you have give us some measurements from ground to bottom of bumper front and rear and we will tell you what you got , gears 33s witha 3.55 gear is not bad but 4.10 be better , im running 35s with 3.55 gear..LOL.. but im going to a 4.88 cause i want the lowend and TQ going with a full posi rear... if you want some other goodies you can get a CAI/AC , headers , highflow cat , roller rocker , MSD , TB .. all of this working toghter will make it a strong truck..

heh i miss read they are 35x12.50r 15 lt tires as for driving i use it as a daily driver right now its a staple vehicle till i get my bike, then it will be a mudding and winter vehicle. So then still go with the 4.10 or should i go for 4.55? Also another quick q is the fuel filter in the tank? As for pics as soon as i get a camera i ll take some pics it measures 26inch from ground to front bumper the shock is a rancho 5500 series i think and it has a ten on it, if that means anything.

I would go with 4.56 for 35s. I am actually thinking of 4.56 with 33s as I bought my truck to tow.

3" body with a 3" susp lift.. with 35s would be another 1 1/2"

3" susp = 22" from ground 3" body = 25" from ground , tire 1 1/2" should be 26 1/2 " from ground..

lol, well that makes a bit of difference. They looked a big to be 33s but I figure it was the picture.

For 35s I'd get 4.56 or 4.88 honestly. It won't be too low for 35s and if you ever go bigger it'll help you out. You will like the performance.

I'm not sure what my front bumper clearance is. I know the back is about 23" from the bottom of the bumper to the ground with no lift and 33 inch tires.

Its true that you don't HAVE to regear, but if your looking for more power you might WANT to regear. +1 for 4.56 or 4.88, you can't go wrong with either running 35 inch tires. You should decide however if you like the tire size you have and if you don't you should figure out what tire size you want then match the gearing to it. Here is a chart that may be helpful http://www.tellico4x4.com/moreinfo/ratio.htm

Looking at the step bars on the side, it looks like it has a 3" body lift. If the tires are 35's than it also will have atleast a 3" suspension lift also. A pic of the drivers side front spring area with the tire turned to the right some will help.
Also look at the side photo of my truck in my pics and see the height and clearance I have and that is with a 3" body lift and 3" suspension lift. Yours look similar, but hard to tell with the distance in the photo.
If you have 35's and do not intend on getting taller, put 4.56 gears in it. It will have good pickup, tow well and be able to use overdrive. If you plan on getting tires larger than 35's, the cost of tires go up fast and the gears will need to be 4.88. The re-gear is going to run you around 2000. parts and labor, as stated. So just leave the O/D off and decide how much you want to spend on getting taller in the future before doing the job.

When you drive the truck turn the overdrive off unless you are running over 75mph, which in reality may be more like 80+ with the speedo off. It will help you get down the road and save the wear on your transmission. If the truck has 3.55 gears, which most came with unless it was ordered otherwise, your RPM's will probably be around 2500 at 60mph with the O/D off. Also the speedo is about 10% off. so that 60 is closer to 68 or so.

If by chance it has 4.10 gears you should be OK like it is. Just leave the O/D off while running under 60....
