thats why you should always get information before buying it. the delta 40 is a milder sound and quieter in the cab. The original 40 series is louder outside and in the cab as well. If it was me i would get either the original 40 series or the super 40 series. Im getting my delta 40 swapped out with the original 40 series for free.

id just get a better muffler. Maybe magnaflow? straight pipe exhaust sounds too cheap to me, id try a different muffler, maybe a different flowmaster series.

 

not to the sniffer. Gutting the cat is not legal for emmisions. Some of us get away with it because sometimes they dont sniff unless you have a CEL. Others pay for an individual to put a sticker on.

 

What's a CEL?

MIL=Malfunction Indicator Light
MIL is the newer standard term but they both mean the same thing

 

Thank you for the clarification. Hmm..yeah, that would be rough if you had a CEL going into a state inspection and you had a gutted cat. Fortunately, when I had my cat gutted, it didn't throw any codes.
