Truck Died---Weird
This morning, I started my truck andbegan clearing off the snow to go to work. When I got in to leave it was idling around 700-800 rpms and sounded/felt like it had a little miss in it. Then I put itin 4HI, shifted into reverse, and while sitting with my foot on the brake...it died. So I put it inneutral, started it back up and went on to work. After I got to work, I sat in Park with it idling between 500-600 rpms...no miss, idling smooth. That has never happened before, so I don't knwo what the deal is. I bought the truck in August of last year, and it has about 85K on it now. I would think the dealer would have tuned it up, but who knows. Any ideas?

That isn't too bad I guess. What is a good way/product to clean the TB?

yup, that's the one. start by cleaning the TB before spending anything on replacement parts. (you can also possibly reuse the TB gasket if it isnt torn). any TB cleaner will do to clean the TB. I personally have no preference.
the auto parts stores should have it, dealer will for sure. shouldnt be more than $5 bux.

After working on my truck as much as I have I have a box of miscellaneous gaskets. In addition to these extras each time I do anything with the throttlew body I replace the gasket. Just so I always have one I buy them 6 at a time from NAPA. Cost about $2 each. I would not recommend re-using a throttle body gasket. You're just asking for it to start leaking and for the price it's cheap insurance.
