The clear hose in that picture - it that aquarium air hose? The cheap, clear plastic hose won't hold a vacuum at all. You're better off using silicone or rubber hose.

Could be your Idle air controller. When the one in my ranger went bad it would run fine once it was warm, but if it was cold as soon as you would stop the truck it would stall or start running like ****.

it is some type of clear plastic hosing that came with the gauge. im not sure what it is, but why wouldnt it hold vaccum ?
